Russia is really upset that we (the US) had a successful test flight of a navigable supersonic bomb, you know the one where it can reach anywhere in the world in a hour after launch using course and target changes inflight (think joystick).
It upsets the balance of power cause Russia doesn’t have it. If one of the Clinton’s were in office, China would have thousands of them.
Russia is upset Obama hasn’t cried “Uncle!” And now Moscow intends to collect, with interest.
I have, and I’ve read the numerous other threads like this one where folks had rational comments all the way around.

I’m definitely a cold-warrior and won’t turn my back on any potential enemy, but sources like the zerohedge blog and the b.i.-blog and that entire genre of blogs just seem to want to make everything an end-of-the-world deal. Instead of reporting and analysis, it’s exclamation point city.
Maybe it’s just me.
O’bummer is a puppet.
I can’t figure out yet if it is the military pulling the strings or banks or both.
Or the Soviets themselves.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Maybe cunning_fish, but further the article continues:
...Other measures to counter the European missile defense system will be drawn up and implemented as necessary. Furthermore, if the situation continues to develop not in Russias favor we reserve the right to discontinue further disarmament and arms control measures. Besides, given the intrinsic link between strategic offensive and defensive arms, conditions for our withdrawal from the New START Treaty could also arise. That said, he concludes that Russia is still open to dialog. However, if Obama merely intends to bomb any nation at will, we are very much concerned that everything Medvedev has just threatened will be enacted. And exponentially more so when Putin comes back in charge. One thing is certain - Russia is not North Korea, and taking this speech for more empty jawboning is probably not the wisest option...>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Well, he didn’t promise a ‘sea of fire’.
Key words are ‘still open to dialog’.
Earlier Putin was almost impeached as he allowed US troops in Central Asia after 9/11 and Bush started on AMD shortly after.
Medvedev is afraid of the same situation and playing hardliner in frond of domestic rednecks to block communist and far-right rhetoric linking ‘reset’ and AMD deployment.
And they have election soon.
Well Larry, I do believe the Russians are shaking down Obama for his lunch money and Obama will blink and give them the detailed instructions on how the missile defense systems work. All in being “Good Friends”—Heck I wouldn’t be surprised if Panetta isn’t flying first class right now with a fruit cake and a brief case full of instructions.
Sounds like it’s 3:00 AM.
Actually its around 9:35 pm :)
You got that right.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Tellya what - why don't you bozos get control of your dead Mars rocket, THEN threaten us with your advanced technology. You know, the one in degrading earth orbit with twelve tons of rocket fuel surrounding highly radioactive cobalt that threatens all the life on the PLANET? That one.
Friggin' putzes.
Translation:
“Look at us...we matter”
Puti!
You a Man, Baby!
But, we don’t sweat you nuhttin!
Rhetoric, Rhetoric, Rhetoric!
Please don’t give them our friutcake, I like fruitcake, let the Dutch give them fruitcake.
Without the X-Band radar in the Negev working, Israel can not stop inbound Iranian missiles.
I have the answer...in a nutshell.
Eat, Drink and be Merry...for tomorrow we die.
Because it is.
Russia knows damned well that there is no attack coming.
It gives them an opportunity to fire up their country by spouting BS .
Your not a “JOO” are ya?
