And where would these American born masons and tile-setters be found? Here in DC the old time masons were Italian, imported from Italy for this specific skill. Now they are all Latin Americans. My white American contractor does a great job with sheetrock and 2x4s. Want something that requires a bit of skill, looks nice and won't turn to mush if it should get wet - can't be done.
