1.As I think I understand Newt and Perry, they want to be able to let them stay.permanently..but NOT as citizens. I gather the main difference will be that they won't be able to vote. I agree with that, but am not sure if I like the idea of creaing a permanent separate class of several million in this country.
Also, I'm no expert on immigration law, but I believe we have provisos where peopel who emigrate legally to theis country, become citizens, are then able to legally bring over their immediate family members. There would be tremendous pressure to enbale this new class to do the same..thus adding millions more.
And what about benefits, entitlements... especially medical costs as they age. It adds trillons..
No, I think they have to go back..

You are right. I wish every American could come with me for one day to tour the large urban hospital I work in.
If ANY illegal is here, there are 10 more family members here “visiting.” Believe me, they come here and instantly get sick on their visits. Same for the ancient village dwelling elders of the H1B visa holders. Grandma and Grandma always get brought in for SOMETHING or other. Then the case managers scramble to figure out what to do because they NEVER, EVER have insurance. And you think they’re just coming from El Salvador? Try China, India, Africa, Ethiopia . . . and any muslim country you can think of.
And believe me, these people want it all ...grandfather needs a new HEART, a new LIVER, a lung transplant ..or is all of a sudden now on long-term dialysis, is in need of long-term rehab, long-term hospitalization in the ICU.
Many of them manage to make it onto the Medicaid roles and just stay there — while on disability or welfare as well.
We are being taken for a RIDE in this country by non-taxpaying parasites from multiple countries. What’s to stop the “red card” crowd from demanding the same?
And we haven’t even gotten to the education issues yet.
OUT, OUT, OUT, all of them! Stick to the rule of law. So far Cain is the ONLY one, perhaps along with Bachman, Paul, Santorum who would say the same.
Americans just need to buckle down, turn off the TV, and vote for the MOST CONSERVATIVE candidate — or we are TOAST.
None would be offered citizenship except those who volunteered and served in the military, which is the case now for foreign enlistees. The only "permanent" residents would be those here under the 1986 amnesty umbrella, permanent already, but who never became citizens, and who would get the "red card" for employment purposes.
By becoming serious about it, and taking action, he would also no doubt stimulate an increase in "self-deportation" as individuals realized the game was about up, and went home.
Nothing there to get hysterical about that I can see.
