I thought it was courageous for him to bring this up and be willing to take the heat for it-knowing what the reaction would be in threads like this and across the conservative spectrum. He is right though-the reality is you’re not gonna be able to send 30 million people home, and AFTER we get the border secured, we’re gonna have to decide what to do with all these people, and there may need to be some lines drawn. Good people can disagree on this, but I really don’t think this is an unreasonable position. And as an undecided, it didn’t make my view of Newt any less favorable.

Maybe they do look it the illegal problem too simplistic as there was a time when one could do so...that time is long past. They're here and it's a matter of getting the border secured determining how and who to allow to stay....which btw that alone might get some of them off the welfare rolls if they target those on them.

What about simply securing the border, while simultaneously removing the free services that draw them?
