The article is spot on as you say...the problem will be transferring that notion to an electorate that is basically brain dead or worse the opposition not having a credible candidate as an alternative choice.
The guy is a joke, no kidding, but so is the clown in front of MacDonalds yet people go there every day nonetheless.

I agree. Choosing a political leader is basically a primal, tribal emotion. Consider your favorite football team: “ WE are number 1 !” is an emotional tribal chant that comes to mind. The basis for that is self defense, rooted in the group defense concept of “my tribe is stronger than your tribe.”
In our politics it is winner take all. Thus, just 3 elected leaders, ( President, Speaker of the House, and Senate Majority Leader), when from the same tribe, can control the destiny of 300 Million Americans. It can become a Troika Dictatorship, as we have seen with Obamanation.
Obamanation has been proven to be a disastrous failure to all but the true-believers in the Debtocrat Tribe. They will vote again to support their sorry tribal leaders. They cannot be reasoned with because they are true-believers, and are thus beyond the reach of reasoned dialog. Chris Matthews, Mika Z. and Gov. Dean are perfect examples. Each one, for different reasons, fears the eventual loss of their tribe loosing the dubious distinction of being “Number 1.” What is best for America has NEVER entered their thought process.
The above is my humble, but ALWAYS correct description of the problem. The solution I leave to those that are smarter than me.
