I’ve said it before, but anyway, I love that pic.
Since the "real news" media refuses to report things like this, yes Twitter posts are now news.
Awesome sign but that’s waaay too many words for the OWS terrorists to take in all at once with their open drooling mouths and glazed eyes. Their brain cell signal only travels at 1 MPH so they would only be able to read the word “My” in the first 20 minutes (by sounding out the letters phonetically) after which they would forget why they were reading in the first place and start all over again. Their attention span can only last long enough to read or write “99%” which at first was spelled as “99 pursent” until a genius among them who had an IQ of 65 discovered the percent symbol when he went to see his daddys accountant about his trust fund.
I’m eagerly awaiting news of an Occupy Gaineville (TX) or
an Occupy Muskogee (OK).
“Twit posts arent news. Period.”
Have to disagree with you. Caitie Parker’s tweets about Arizona shooter Jared Loughner were covered by multiple news outlets. Her comments helped immensely in the early effort to counter the idea he was some sort of right winger.
By my statement “these fools” I mean the Occupation crowd.
Well,it seems there are unions supporting this Occupation. I don’t think the members are trust fund babies.
I hope those thinking of civil war on either side buy my book, United America: 2014 by “Ben Maxwell,” available at Amazon.com and other on-line outlets. I also hope that these fart-eaters run like scared rabbits the first time somebody fires a warning shot above their heads.
Do you know what the founders were talking about when they wrote ‘freedom of the press?’ It was not the news media at the time...it was the pamphleteer with a printing press.
Freedom of the Press! Use it or lose it.
Why are boots on the ground tweets and FB posts “news” when it comes from other countries, but not our own?
We are quickly moving into a time when what we see in the evening news and daily rags is false.
So where and how does one ‘get real news?’
What will be the new printing press to keep freedom alive? What is the modern pamphleteer?
I don't recall having mentioned any MSM. Can you point out the post where I did?
Why are boots on the ground tweets and FB posts news when it comes from other countries, but not our own?
I don't recall having said such trash is news in other countries. Can you point out the post where I did?
So where and how does one get real news?
Not from Twits, that's for sure. I'd rather not base my view of the world on what was Tweeted by some drooler with a smartphone.
What is the modern pamphleteer?
Do some research. How accurate was the info in these pamphlets?
Who does the fact checking on Tweeting Twits?
Indeed. Years ago my wife and I went to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe on our honeymoon. The ordinary people there were amazing; the lack of material wealth was staggering and yet, rather than sitting around whinging about how bad the “99%” have it (in their case it probably would have been 99.99%), they were aggressively trying to sell whatever they could find or make that they thought would appeal to the tourists and other visitors. Even given the almost overwhelming economic handicaps they were suffering under, they were still trying to do what they could to make their lives a little better.
Meanwhile, here are these crybabies, most of whom live like kings and queens of old compared to the honest, and honestly poor, folks in places such as Zimbabwe.
Then define "news." Only posts from where qualify for FR? You say "twitter" isn't acceptable ....that same picture pulled from what source would be acceptable to you? Only a MSM source?
humblegunner, I said just yesterday if we're going to turn this election season around conservatives need to 'get with it' and stop being dependent on the media. WE already know the media is biased and lies. On any given day one can find conflicting articles about the same issues. And neither POV represents the real America.
While FR is nice, there is a whole world of social media that can be leveraged for good. All it takes is one clever conservative to put aside their fear and bias against twitter, FB, +1 and grab the opportunity.
If the liberals could use it to change the Middle East, just imagine what can be done in a free speech country?
So now I've asked you twice to tell us where does one get the real news. And your only answer is not from Twits. That is not an answer....answer the question please.
My hunch is you can't, because then it would be an admition of your bias for a corrupted source and articles written by liberal journalists.
The tweeted picture tells a significant story on it's own, much like the pictures from the depression...not needing any caption or further explanation.
Believe it or not, I’m not required to answer any questions from you.
I stated my opinion, I’ll do it again.
Twitter sucks, Facebook sucks and neither is news.
If you disagree, fine.
They may be right. Not in the way they think though.
I then conclude you can’t substantiate your opinion.
Have a nice life with the your “news sources”.
Oh and just a reminder...right now we’re all entitled to state our opinions...there is coming a time when the pictures, like the one that started this thread, will be banned. Because they are not news.
I am sure you will be quite happy in those days to come.
Conclude whatever you like.
Be sure to click the “like” button on all of Justin Bieber’s fascinating tweets.
There’s some haters among Union goons - but for the most part union guys are paid or bullied into showing up at so-called ‘protest’. Corrupt union ‘leaders’ call the shots... Real workers know union leaders drove American jobs overseas to feed their own greed. Eff ‘em... One more reason NOT to support the trust fund organizers of Occupy.
