You say all this stuff, but you don’t explain yourself, so it makes it really easy to disregard.

Sorry I asked.

I’ve explained it a number of times on this thread, but you refuse to listen. So, there’s not much I can do for you. Sorry.

We ran the numbers on the proposed Iowa “fetal pain” legislation. It would have, theoretically, saved six babies.

But, in fact, it wouldn’t have saved them either. They would simply have been murdered a few days earlier.

And in exchange for that the “pro-life” Republicans get what? They get to sacrifice the most important sacred principles associated with their oath. They get to participate in the ongoing destruction of the cornerstone principles of our nation and our state. Hurrah!

But again, any argument over how many they save is a utilitarian argument, not a moral or a constitutional one.

And, none of it matters anyhow, because they give everything away every time with their commitment to judicial supremacism and their resulting abandonment of republican constitutional self-government with its critically important checks and balances.

They don’t care though. They’re getting what they want: fake credentials that will earn their organizations millions more in donations from naive, ignorant pro-lifers, and more votes for the morally-compromised formerly grand old party.

Let me ask you a question: If you have the power to pass legislation that is compromised, that ends with “and then you can kill the baby,” why not simply exercise that power to ban the practice of child-killing altogether?
