California has shown that term limits don't work. Instead of a revolving door for the entrenched thief what you get is a revolving door for the anonymous incompetent thief with absolutely no loyalty but to the sponsors on the way in and whoever offers a job on the way out.
Anybody who thinks they can get rid of influence by controlling employment after serving in Congress is deluding themselves. It will only make the system more opaque than ever.

Term limits are not the answer, the answer is no one is exempt from the law. i.e. All laws should apply to all, when the powerful are exempted, either by writ or influence, or wealth the body politic is tyrnaized and become serfs subject to the injustice of the powerful.
