I took this quiz, and I was 92% in favor of Rick Santorum for president, which surprised me. It's a short, twenty question quiz.
My question, we're going through all the candidates, will we give Santorum his day in the sun?
The problem is he could not win in his own state in 2006.
The accuracy of that poll is somewhat in question, when my results show Jeb Bush with a 9% higher rating than Herman Cain. It also shows Newt as my #1 pick (HAH!)at 84% with Santorum second, Palin 3rd.
I won’t say it’s rigged, but Jeb Bush rating above Bobby Jindal is also suspect, IMHO.
A HIGHLY questionable outcome.
There was a debate today?
More proof of the screwiness of that quiz is it said that Mitt Romney was my #2 candidate after Santorum.
None of them have a chance as long as the infighting continues...You know that’s what the plan was from the beginning. Time is short.
Santorum couldn’t get re-elected in his own state. He has no chance of winning a national election.
After seeing your response and mine and some others, I am more and more convinced the poll is BS from the get go.
Every debate he's seemed like someone hopped up, ready to explode. Just way over the top. IMHO
It’s rigged or at least very inaccurate. Too many people are scoring Santorum too high and CAIN too low - and we know Santorum thinks Cain is his target.
He’s wrong about that, and this poll is wrong period.
Nope, I doubt he'll make it after the first couple of primaries. He isn't even raising enough money to cover primary filing fees for more than a few States. He has only raised about $500K and spent it all. The filing fees vary, but from a few other posts where folks have calculated it, it would cost anywhere between $2-$4Million for all the primary filing fees and logistics around that alone (not counting advertising, promotions, other legal stuff, staff, offices, etc).
He wouldn't be a bad president and he is right on most issues. BUT, I have to call the reality of the simple logistics (IMHO).
He would need some sort of PR explosion like Cain got after the first couple of debates, to turn it around. At this stage of the game, something like saving somebody's life at a rally type of PR event.
Insincerity. Perceived or not, INSINCERITY!
There ya go.
Playing around with that site, it looks like anyone can create a survey and the way you can add weightings to each variable, it is easy to create this that favors a single candidate.
LOL, I got Mitt then Paul as the ones right under Santorum when I changed all the answers to Liberal answers.
I got Cain then Bachmann right under Santorum when I changed all the answers to Conservative answers.
As I’ve said before, he’s my first choice. Not holding my nose this election. Still donating. Still no regrets.
A quick point: Santorum lost by 18 points in part because he decided to stick with his convictions in an election cycle when other Republicans were running for the center. One would think that he should get some credit for that—principles being more important than victory at any cost.
And, as to the contention that he is running to be Romney’s VP: That’s nonsense. The ticket won’t consist of two people from the Northeast and Santorum is smart enough to know that. (Remember, too, that in the last major debate it was Santorum who initiated the attack on Romney about Obamacare.)
And you may not agree with his decision to support Specter, but his reasoning was that, in a closely divided Senate, a Specter victory would enable President Bush’s judicial nominees not to be bottled up in committee (hence, Roberts and Alito), whereas a Toomey loss might create a Democratic Senate and a Supreme Court setback.
if the Steelers are beating the Eagles 35-3 at the end of the 3rd period, do the Eagles have a chance?
Santorum: too far behind, and only 6 weeks to caucus day. No resources. Small staff. No money.
I’m not a pro or con Santorum supporter. I never considered him. This thread is about, let’s look at him.
This quiz is a great summary of what is wrong with the Santorum campaign - great content, but all packaged up and delivered in an unappealing and inaccessible way (small font on similar-colored, low-contrast background). I had to go get my glasses just to read the darn thing.
