After Nixon and Watergate, I didn't believe I would ever see a Republican controlled house in my lifetime. (and there hadn't been one in my lifetime up to THAT point either)
I remember tuning into c-span to watch the vote for Newt as speaker. I was so excited. We had all his history courses videos. Some where along the line, he got sucked into the cocktail party circuit. That’s what’s really got us conservatives miffed. His values could be bought out.
Real conservatives don’t waver on their values. Newt has issues, but he’s not Obama. I’d vote for Newt. Hell, he has more substance than McCain.
