The weather channel is showing 60% chance of snow. The forecasts show most snow east of here. I have several daays of fire wood inside so I don’t care. About a foot of snow on the ground right now.

Truck is one big gummy mess. Followed a de-icer truck spraying sodium chloride on the road when rtning from Eugene. The new de-icer is not vehicle friendly.

Dense fog (clouds w/low I.Q.?) in Eugene but sunny and cold here in Bend. Santa’s gonna have to put wheels on the sleigh; hasn’t been a winter with no snow on the ground in the 10 years we’ve been here.

We have drips this morning, mini-raindrops I guess. All kinds of severe weather warnings (promises, promises) for last night (nothing), today, and tonight.

Surprised being on the Pacific coast you even notice the salt. We get plenty from the Gulf breezes that come out of the southeast 362 days a year. The other three blow out of the north.

ODOT (Oregon Department of Transportation) sprays Sodium Chloride on the roads to prevent ice from forming. Their new formula is good down to 10 degrees; it also makes a gummy/gooey mess on vehicles.

Going to play today as the missus is off work.

We don’t know what 10 degrees is, that said however, have seen the bays frozen before. The salt didn’t seem to help.

People went down and were pulling out stunned redfish until the game wardens started handing out tickets. It’s a gamefish so you have to catch it on a rod and reel.
