Fourth Grade Sex Assault Shocks Parents (Gov Schools strike again!)
Fox Philly ^ | 11/15/2011

After allegations of a sexual assault by three Philadelphia fourth graders, parents want to know why district officials were late in telling them about the incident.

Parents also want to know why the information was so vague about what happened at Bryant Elementary School in West Philadelphia, and the incident has the school district under fire.

The details are shocking and involve graphic language.

A letter was sent home with students, revealing allegations of "inappropriate conduct" among several fourth graders and an announcement that, from now on, students must travel to the lavatories in pairs.

Geneva Walker says the letter was just vague enough to be frightening.

"I was shocked. My mouth dropped and I was like, I can't believe this. You know, and then I'm walking out the schoolyard reading the letter and I'm hearing other parents talking and I'm like- are you serious? This is really happening in the school?"

My question wasn't whether it was the duty of government schools to teach religion. The question was, “Are your government schools godlessly secular in their worldview?”

Answer: Our socialist K-12 schools **DO** teach religion. The religion taught is godless secular humanism. The worldview of our nation's government schools is godless secular humanism. Secular humanism is NOT religiously neutral.

So...If you know of an exception this, if there is a god-centered government school out there in Freeper-land please send me a link.

NO school can be religiously neutral and this is one of many reasons why government must get out of the education business.

As for balance:

It take more time to “balance” than it does to simply do it right the first time.

it doesn’t make the entire system evil.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Here are a few questions, then decide if our socialist K-12 schools are evil.

** Do you know of any government owned and run K-12 school that is not godless in its religious worldview or that is not a socialist entitlement?

** How can that be “good”?

“You don’t know a damned thing about me, our son, our school, our teachers, administrators, etc.”

...oh, but we do, assuming that your kid is going to a public school in the United States. If it were Russia or China, then you might have point, as the teachers there love their country (regardless of what we may think of those places)...unlike the vast majority of people working in US public schools.

The only REAL difference is whether these teachers and administrators can fool parents enough to think that their school is in that 1% that is “different” from the others. And some of those people are better at that than others....

“The anti-public school crowd are nothing but a bunch of foul mouthed bullies intent on berating decent FReepers instead of getting out into the trenches and making a real difference where it really counts.”

Believe me they’d be doing it if it were possible. But it’s not, because parents DO NOT pay for public schools - Government does. And schools will answer to whoever supplies them with a check. Why do you think there wasn’t even a term for “customer service” in the Soviet Union? Well, it was because the workers answered to the state, not to the person who walked in the door.

Not interested in any of your misplaced and offensive assumptions.

You all persist in attacking FReepers for the personal decisions they make.

Slaves to your own agenda.

Happy Thanksgiving!

How can the following questions be “personal” or an attack? Perhaps you should examine your own heart if you believe that they are.

Again:

Here are a few questions, then decide if our socialist K-12 schools are evil.
