Ann Coulter: Picking ‘The Most Right Wing Candidate’ In Primary Is ‘Suicidal’
Breitbart TV ^ | 11-16-11 | Breitbart TV

Posted on 11/16/2011 12:15:03 AM PST by Lazlo in PA

“Those who think ‘oh, absolutely, this is going to be 1980; we are going to run against Jimmy Carter’… and then there are those of us like me and apparently Governor Christie who think this guy is going to be tough to beat... The idea that you pick the most right-wing candidate without any concern over who can win is suicidal..."

Conservatism works every time it’s tried.

A party without principles is not a party that has a future. We can demand better. To just want a candidate who can beat Obama is not enough. Conservatives need to set high standards. That’s why we have such a lousy GOP field. Winning is not the only thing that counts and Ann Coulter’s observation is wrong on so many levels. I do want to beat Obama. But not if it means have an Obama-Lite Republican replacing him in the White House.

It works better than a guy like McCain and Romney, that’s for sure. There are varying degrees of conservatism in between, though...and it’s like a sharks nest on FR. Attack anyone that is one or two issues off ‘your’ version of perfection...that seems to be the deal. That will ensure liberal wins all the time.

We need to vet our candidates before hand and come to a consensus on a handful...so they are well protected and capable of being in a position to win it. Right now we leave it up to the media. It’s a lose lose situation.

I haven’t been pleased with Ann for a while. Her crush on Christie was sickening.

I remember the days when Ann was the queen on FR. Never really got into her, thought she was annoying. But no thanks to Mitt or Christie.

Neither McCain nor Romney are in any way conservatives.

I'd bet if we all work real hard, we can find and nominate a Republican candidate even more liberal than Obama.

That will surely please all the great “conservative” commentators.

Anne, you miserable slut....

What mattress are you using this week to hawk your wares?

Seriously, I bought 3 or 4 of your books and found them informative and interesting.

Now, however, I get the sense you will sleep with any dog and you don’t care about the fleas or mange...

Ditto. Used to go out and buy her latest book as soon as the local store opened. Last book I didn't care. Odd how she used to be one of the proponents of not voting for or supporting the wishy washy. Now she's one of them.

Her track record is consistently conservative. Maybe she just has a different opinion.

Ann is all for Mitt Romney and Christie. She has said on Hannity on TV that she would love to see a Romney /Christie ticket.

So she writes books about liberals and then pushes them to be president and VP.

Put Ann Coulter wants Mitt Romney for President into Google and you will see tons of videos from the Sean Hannity show. She is serious about it.

Ann's right about one thing; Omuslim is not going to be easy to beat. He's got limitless funds, the lap dog media behind him and they play dirty. Never underestimate this sob.

Yes, I have seen her promote Mitt. I am not going to shun her for making that choice. Romney is an electable Republican. He isn’t the conservative most of us want, but he would be better than Hussein, especially if there were a conservative Congress holding him accountable.

Michelle Malkin is also a MittBot, sadly. She has taken the lead in castigating Herman Cain over his pauses over Libya in a newspaper interview that should never have been reported. She blasted Perry as well, but always seems to give Mittens a pass. We are learning a lot about the true stances of many pundits this cycle. Conservatives take note.
