I found this linked from another thread. That thread was on ISIS, and this thread was linked to explain some of the similarities of ISIS and the Mexican drug gangs.

I think I will have to read Quigley’s work. Tragedy and Hope was written in 1966, the year I was born. I feel it may offer a lot.

Modern academia and politics has discounted so much work in history which explains so much. Political correctness has become so powerful as to threaten us.

The idea our cultures carry artifacts from thousands of years ago used to be normal thinking of anthropologists. Now it is discounted.

I have a lot of personal reading I am going to need to do.

Anything by Quigley is well worth your time, and you will invest a great deal of time wrapping your head around his work.
