You have been here since 2010. I've been here for far more than a decade. I've never changed my position on unionization inside the federal government in all those years.

The choice was to allow a Communist takeover of federal unions or an American takeover of federal unions.

FDR let the Americans do it.

He changed his PHILOSOPHICAL mind.

You newbies imagine history started the day you first said "Hey, yo, TEA Party". It didn't. There's been a lot go on long before you figured out you had a public responsibility to yourselves, your family and your fellow citizens.

First refuge of someone getting killed in a debate — waaah waaah I’ve been on FR longer than you — waaah. For your information, and I know this will rock your tiny little pathetic world, but there is political debate OUTSIDE of FR. Yep, there is. There really is. In fact, many of us have been involved in it for many many years. FR rocks, but it ain’t the only thing. Except in your life.

Besides, your history may be correct in some technical points but to stretch that to mean that anyone who IS AGAINST PUBLIC UNIONS IS THEREFORE IN FAVOR OF COMMUNIST INFLUENCE ON OUR GOVERNMENT is just a borderline mentally retarded conclusion. I’m sorry, it just is.

The choice was to allow a Communist takeover of federal unions or an American takeover of federal unions.

While the concern and activities you reference occurred roughly as you relate, do you hold that they were successful and in fact removed communist influence from American labor unions or even public employee unions only?

From my considerable experience with unions since the 1960's, I would testify that the effort to rid unions of communists was no more than 50% successful at best.
