It would be great if tumors could be tested at the time of diagnosis, for the purpose of tailoring an individual cancer therapy for the patient.
Unfortunately, such break-throughs in treatment aren’t very likely with Obamacare. I’m worried about the future of medical research; it may only be a matter of time before research budgets are cut back, with the rationale that government run healthcare won’t pay for the expensive new treatments anyway, so why pay for developing them?
No controls, no comparison to patients with placebo epigenetics followed by standard treatment. Also tiny numbers in the overall study and no mention of controls. This is not science, but then again, sciencey magazines will publish just about anything these days.
