Good point.

There was in England I believe a Chrisitian fired from his job or demoted because he posted on his private (Friends only) account that he opposed “gay marriage.”

Leftists want anything opposing the homosexual or, ironically, pro-Islamization (Muzzies kill gays) to be “hate speech” which is “non speech.”

Doesn’t fit the political agenda of the left to show the obvious dangers posed by sodomite men raising a young boy - not to mention the boy’s friends and neighbors.

I´d say he failed Character 101. Miserably. Repeatedly.

A related question is: Does Dick’s Hardware have a gun/ammo counter?

Wasn’t the neighborhood some sort of leftist “utopian” experiment?

Might want to consider that the Penn State General Counsel in 2002, who was briefed in on both the 1998 and the 2002 investigation into Sandusky was also the General Counsel to The Second Mile.

The Second Mile President/CEO has stated that he did not know of the Sandusky reports until 2008.

That information is in the Grand Jury Indictment.

IMO, that is the first true indicator of a concerted coverup.

Though Paterno had to go down too, and should, in fact, be prosecuted as an accomplice.

Joe is small potatoes. He serves more as a scapegoat to deflect scrutiny of the homo NAMBLA types embedded in many important organizations in America. This is where investigation needs to be focused to root out these bastards who organize the NAMBLA clubs.

I’d say you don’t have enough information to make that judgment.

Good point.

If the attorney knew .. he wouldn’t report to the CEO at the very least and more likely the Board??

Spanier is a sexual deviant, and most people with ties to Happy Valley recognize that.

If the Mark Madden rumors were true, I wouldn’t be surprised if he was involved. In fact, because Spanier was the president, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Madden rumors were true.

Just a couple suggested items to check out:

1. Could these be matching donations that Merck made in an employee's name? My employer will match charitable donations dollar-for-dollar if I request it.

2. Who at Merck has oversight responsibility for charitable donations? Frazier is relatively new in the CEO role; what was his previous role and how does that relate to donations, if at all?

You know NL, there is absolutely nothing to check out.

This stinks.

Why would they appoint a corporate CEO to investigate this?

A retired judge or DA or FBI agent or police chief with a good rep & no ties to PSU would make sense.

OTOH, maybe the PSU Board of Trustees learned something from the Catholic bishops' experience with Frank Keating.

Don't appoint an honest man that you can't control.

Fully agree, actually. Regardless of how the donations came about.

I think the first thing that should have happened (on Day 1) was to announce the appointment of a special investigator, and ideally that person would have been a nationally-known, nonpartisan person. The second point of order should have been to immediately place all named parties on administration leave pending an emergency BoT meeting to be held later that week. Had they done that, they might have quelled some of the media frenzy and given themselves time to execute tasks properly. Instead they bungled the crisis mgmt aspects right out of the gate and never recovered.

yup, to all your points.

I hate to sound suspicious but I think this thing might go a lot deeper.

I agree. Given the fact that Sandusky is still claiming innocence, I have to wonder what info he has that will become a bargaining chip. And I'm inclined to think it will be along the lines of what Madden is suggesting. If so, there are some very nervous high-profile people out there right now...
