When McQueary witnessed him it was only 9:30. Not exactly late on a college campus. The campus NEVER contacted the police. In 1998 a mother did. No charges were pressed. An investigation was finally launched in 2009 after a mother went to Child Protective Services. The university did NOTHING to stop Sandusky even though they knew what he was up to.

It was McQueary’s responsibility to go the police. Why did he involve a third party who had nothing to do with it? If he witnessed a murder, would he have gone to Paterno? He should’ve gone directly to the police. That’s generally what people do if they see a crime in progress, especially something as horrible as the forcible rape of a child.

There are lots of guilty people and I am most certainly not denying that. My point has always been that Paterno is not the problem here.
