Apparently, lds do not believe personal experience as evidence. My lds family and friends have said that they are required to show proof of income (IE W2s) to make sure they are tithing the correct amount. One friend says her bishop actually sends a monthly bill for the amount.

A young ex-Mormon joined our church some years back and as we got to know him, he opened up about the LDS. I had no reason to doubt him. I think I was most astonished over the belief of some of the men becoming gods eventually.

If I ever heard that in a church teaching, I wouldn’t need any help at all in realizing I needed to head for the door; not to mention all the other bizarre, anti-Biblical, anti-Christian things they have made up.

I get so annoyed but mostly I feel bad for these people. I really do. Many know nothing else as they were born into it. It makes me ever so thankful that Jesus led me in the Truth.
