Serial child sex abuse; what could Sandusky's wife have known?

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB)-- Chattanooga native Dorothy 'Dottie' Gross Sandusky not only has been her husband Jerry's partner in life, and in the raising of six adopted children; but also in his 'Second Mile' charity.
Pennsylvania prosecutors allege the former Penn State defensive coordinator used Second Mile to find, groom and rape at least six young boys between 1994 and 2009.
Some of the alleged attacks are believed to have occurred in the couple's home.
So how, many ask, could Dottie Sandusky not have known?
"I've seen it both ways," clinical social worker Farlie Chastain says. "In which the family knows and is in denial."
"Because these people are good," Nurse Practitioner Allyson Neal says. "They are what you want them to be at any given moment."
"Very good at hiding it from everyone," Chastain says. "Very good at seducing the child and manipulating the child not to tell."

"Turning a blind eye" indicates an act of volition, which is actually in contradiction to the meaning of "blind". If you are mentally "blind" to something, you don't see it, and you therefore don't need to turn from it.

Even the excuse making commentator “these people are very good at hiding it” - Have they read the case? The WHOLE POINT is he wasn’t good at hiding it. Caught multiple times by multiple people in multiple locations.
The only location missing from his “caught” list is his house.
There was a police report and investigation. YEARS ago.
To me, a “blind eye” means you see it but CHOOSE not to acknowledge it.

McQueary is under guard, allegedly out of state. The "official" story is it's to protect him from JoePa fans and the outrage of the public. My guess is it's to prevent him from ending up like Ray Gricar.
I have to say that I would be very surprised. Hey maybe YOU were one of the customers, but just don’t know it. See what I’m saying here? Where are the moorings? This is what is so disturbing about this affair, putting aside the sufferings of the victims. Thousands of people are suffering thousands of ills and injuries every day, but this affair strikes at the social fabric, and this commands attention.
You should do yourself a favor and read the facts of the case. Because clearly - either you don’t know what you are talking about - or are deranged.
Multiple witnesses multiple corroborated independant stories. Victims reaching to number 7, etc. Campus police reports.
And those are the documented cases.
As I said, it's the "turning" of the "blind eye" that indicates this in the proverbial statement, but in fact people are often truly "blind" to facts of their own situation that may be instantly obvious to disinterested observers.

McQueary should be terrified right now, and he deserves it for his inaction all those years ago. I knew he would never coach again once the story broke; his own players probably wanted to break his neck.

I so agree, I think this thing stinks to high heaven & maybe murder played a part in it too! Gricar's disappearance is still a mystery.

Of course they knew, think of the university as a small town. Now everyone knows that in a small town, everyone knows everything that happens within hours.
It's human nature, people cannot keep secrets & also too many people knew for it to be kept secret.
That is part of why this is so horrifying, so many adults knew & covered up to save face for the university & their own butts & their own jobs! Nothing else mattered to them. Everyone involved in the cover-up should be arrested & tried for these crimes!
And, today, they will play their football game, like nothing else matters, like they've done for over 15 years now! Care about the victims? Victims that were raped for years because their football team mattered more to them than the victims!
