The most important part of any southern border security plan is double fencing in all areas of the border where illegals are known to cross. Perry rejects that and his notion that the border will ever be secured by "boots on the ground" and aerial surveillance is nonsense. No president will ever put enough personnel on the border - 24/7/365 - because that is the most expensive method of all.
And W already wasted a billion dollars on the idiotic "virtual fence" that was abandoned as a failure a year or two ago. He did that as a ruse to avoid complying with the Secure Fence Act which required 700 miles of double fencing (until Kay Bailey gutted that requirement). See what we get from border state politicians.
Sorry, this "secure the border first" babble is nothing but a second-hand ruse from one more politician who has no intention of enforcing immigration law And, as I said before, this is and hand-me-down from Juan McCain's 2008 and 2010 campaigns. That should really give folks confidence, Lol.
Why won't Perry give us a detailed plan of what he plans for the fifteen or more million illegals already in the US? Oh, yeah, he wants to give them all a work permit, amnesty by any other name.
You don't require him to give you one yet you will vote for him. What exactly do you require Herman Cain to give you in terms of record and policy for your vote?
You require Perry to answer questions you wont even ask your preferred candidate. The reason you wont ask is because you know it will be the same. At least Perry is honest and forth right about it.
Look the time is coming where we have to vote for a President. Herman Cain is a great personality but if your wife is a Democrat and you were up until '96 voting for Clinton, you are simply rhetoric. Newt, Mitt or Perry are the ones with the record to look at. I'm not voting for a guy with no record
The Texas virtual border is up and working in certain areas.
