Notice our active duty years (’77-’84) are not only identical...but both of us SAC weenies? :) Too cool.

Hope your injuries heal quickly and completely. Now, I’m betting you need a good ‘cover story’ for the bandages, etc.....let’s see......it’ll have to start “Now this is no s**t...”.

Why, yes... RightOnline did say to “Check In”, and I think it’s a superb suggestion! I’ll meet you there, dearest! ;^)

LOL! I’m getting confused, Joe! Now, who all, besides RightOnline, is coming with us for BLT’s? Do we have to “check in” with the maitre d’, and am I wearing the right shoes?

MM1(SS) submarine nuclear power plant operator 1988-1997. USS Albany and USS Greeneville.

My father was on the USS Block Island (baby aircraft carrier) when WWII ended. They picked up our POWs from Japanese prison camps and carried them back to a friendly island with a hospital. Many of them died on ship within days of rescue. Dad was almost eighty before he talked with his sons about it. He got malaria in the Philippines, which ended his dream of being a foreign missionary.

Well lessee here....hmmmmm......If Joe’s taking you places that serve BLT’s and have maitre d’s....and your shoe style matters.....my advice is simple: RUN! RUN! Run as far and as fast as you can!!!!!!!

God bless your dad.....wow. Imagine being freed from a Japanese hellhole of a POW camp, only to die within days after rescue aboard a friendly ship. I can’t imagine....unless those poor souls had been holding out and finally felt FREE to die in freedom vs. captivity.

...and God bless you for your service in the Silent Service.

I prefer the term “SAC trained killer” to “weenie”, but that's just me...

And many already know my bandages are due to a successful surgery(thank God), so no joy on the possible cover story.
But thanks anyway! LOL
