Note I did not say he should not pay a price, not for 'protecting' Sandusky as you allege, but for failing to follow up on his 2002 report to his superior and the campus police. He has a big name and should have known better.
But some of the bile directed at him is bordering on ridiculous - its a good old fashioned media pile on & its a shame.

you've got that right...a homosexual coverup of the highest order. When I worked for the Indiana D.O.C., I signed forms indicating what I had the authority to do in certain instances. In every instance, I was required to notify someone at a certain level of authority, depending on circumstances. In no circumstance was I authorized to notify nor to give information to someone on the outside. There was a stipulation that I was not required to break any laws, but a very direct order was to be followed. I would have followed those guidelines, but I would have also payed very close attention as to what steps had been taken concerning any incident. I am happy to say that there were indeed several incidents, and all were handled to my satisfaction.
