Newt supported McCain as did Perry, Paul, Bachmann and the rest of the professional politicians.
But I know, don't let facts get in the way of a good guilt by accusation smear.
Mega Dittos!
Cain’s experience is in the private sector, just like Romney’s with the exception of his miserable 4 year governorship of MA.
Newt Gingrich has more government and leadership experience as Speaker of the House and it shows in all the debates. Plus, he is a billiant man in his own right and a historian.
All politicans “talk” -— and some talk a whole lot better than others, and they’re the ones leading in all the polls.
Then I won’t remind some here about using the past Gore support smear on Perry.
Cain’s problem is, he was serious about advocating Affirmative Action and Tarp. And he has been eerily silent about going after Romney for any reason. Do you find that strange?

Gingrich Backs Obamacares Individual Mandate Requiring Health Insuranc
Perry on of the few Republicans to campaign for Hillary Care in 1993
Gingrich would be wonderful if we could go strictly on what he is saying at the moment. But most of us have been around for much longer that that and have lived the results of Newt Gingrich and his chaotic career.
We all agree that he is on of the smoothest and most insightful talkers and debaters, perhaps the best in all of history. But he has darker history of saying all the right things and then betrays those promises or ideas by doing the opposite.
I simply cannot trust what he says and I believe he will lose against Obama because the MSM will rip him to shreds even worse than they tried to do with Cain. Only in this case, they have actual case history and evidence against Gingrich to make their case against him.
I am not “smearing” Cain. I am pointing out his actual record that many here chose to overlook or have not taken the time to research.
It’s not all that hard to understand is it? Your scrutiny of Perry does not correspond to what you are allowing to pass in respect to Cain. And Cain’s liberal past is much more recent than Perry’s.
Yes. I can imagine him singing that. I love listening to his voice.
Newt is a Roman Catholic convert who worships at the Archdiocese of Washington, D.C. with Cardinal Wuerl. His wife, Calista sings in the choir. It wil be interesting to see whether the Church supports him, which I anticpate it will.
Cain is Southern Baptist, IIRC.
The two men are likely our best ticket.
NO ROMNEY.
SJB!!!! ;)
I have VATS of the stuff!
I know, you're not a perfectionist: you just want it done right....
You don't seem to be able to see forest for trees: Romney IS a politician and DID attain his position by navigating the fetid waters of our parasitic party system.
I did not say success at "business" was my criterion.
