I wonder if our parents and grandparents worried about Japs and Germans like that in 1941?
Actually I don't wonder..
Different type of war, and a different mindset...
But I am sure some thought that way...My grandfather certainly felt that way till well after the war, until he met the Japanese Ace that shot him down...They became good friends after that, and kinda laughed about a lot of things they had in common...Mr. Watanabe-san came to his funeral to pay his respects...Brought his grandson with him as well...And he and I are very good friends to this day...
Prejudices can be resolved, it is unadulterated hatred that is destructive...And Islam is based upon unadlterated prejudices and hate against ALL that do not believe as they do...And there is no compramising with that kind of belief...I certainly do not lose any sleep over it, I am comfortable with my opinion and plan to deal with it when it comes to my door...
Depends...could your parents and grandparents tell the difference between an ethnicity and an ideology?
Apparently, you can't.
