I’m not trusting you until you have a more cogent argument that doesn’t sound like it’s coming from Democratic Underground. If you notice the majority of people around here who argue against Cain make comments that actually make sense. There’s not an ounce of logic in your arguments and it’s all based on “feeling”.

Why is his comment about her being the same height as his wife not valid? It’s actually what he was asked about when the NRA was investigating. Since they found her charges without merit, they obviously had issues with her story as well. Her lawyer didn’t even have a strong enough case to take her complaint to the EEOC, the board charged with investigating sexual harassment claims. The fact that she did something similar at the next job she had, that should be considered when assessing her credibility.

You have to do better than “Cain was lying through his teeth”. Why would his not stating the obvious (the fact that she’d been released from her non disclosure agreement had been in the news for a few days) be evidence of his lying. His press conference was to state HIS case. That’s what’s required of him. It’s the women’s (or at the very least their lawyer’s) responsibility to tell their side. With no charges of harassment in the agreement she signed with her lawyer and an investigation where her complaint was found without merit, it’s a he said, she said situation.

Why waste his press conference saying what everyone already knew? She’s been free for a while now and still won’t address her charges. If it were that big of a deal and she thought it mattered to his viability as a candidate why hasn’t she spoken out about what happened? Sexual harassment charges can be made for just about anything a woman wants, from a gesture to “hey baby, you want that promotion you’ll have to prove it to me”. Clearly the first could be completely misinterpreted (as could possibly be the case here since it was dismissed without merit). Even her lawyer who is speaking out on her behalf only says “he’s seen them and it is sexual harassment.” I hardly expect him to say anything different.

Still, you’re saying he was lying through his teeth so I want you to show me why you think that. Don’t give me the lame argument about him not mentioning she was free from her agreement because that’s not evidence. Everyone knows she was free to talk. Her lawyer is free to talk on her behalf. Ironically, his language is a little suspect as well. If you listen to his comments he says he’s READ her statement and it definitely was harassment. He didn’t say I took her case because I believed her and still do (or anything to indicate he was actually there). If you remember, the case was so insignificant HE didn’t even remember it, had no file on it and had to go to the client to find out the details.

If you honestly believe Cain is pro choice and he’d negotiate with terrorists you haven’t been listening. Many prominent people in the pro life movement have come forward attesting to his pro life credentials. If you listen to that interview, he was asked whether a girl who was raped should have to RAISE the child of her rapist. He said that was mixing apples and oranges (i.e. just because you choose life doesn’t mean you can’t choose adoption instead of raising that child and that would be a family decision).

. Just because I happened to like a particular expensive
car model, and later it was mentioned that many mobsters
own them, too, does not mean that Im also a mobster.
Not all republicans like Cain, otherwise he would be
like at 40% in the poll, no? :)

. Some posters mentioned why there was barely any posts
and suddenly I started posting a lot - could it be that
perhaps there was extra time in my hand?

. A woman would be quite unreasonable in just by saying
her height is the same as someone’s (superior’s) wife
that it would be construed as an harassment.
The lawyer Bennett said on interview on CNN after the
Cain’s presser, that the harassment happened in multiple
days and he indicated that the severity is not
insignificant.

. Karen K. former boss was also interviewed on CNN
and she said Karen told her on the phone recently that
her boss (Maria Cardona) saved her from the monster (”Cain”)
when she hired her in late 1990s to work for INS - the
next job after departing from NRA.

Here is the story;
http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-57321679-503544/karen-kraushaar-called-cain-a-monster-her-former-supervisor-says/

. By the way, I didnt mean about the quantity (# of
possible women that would come forward), rather the
veracity of their claims.
Karen K. and Bialek will appear together soon:

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/11/11/us/politics/kraushaar-will-discuss-cain-only-if-other-3-accusers-join-her.html

Once they have the public speaking, within weeks
Cain’s # will drop, and his camp will know that, and
once it reaches beyond the point of no return (similar
to Pawlenty when he realized his # was just not there,
or Palin realizing the# is not high enough for her),
there is no other way, but Cain’s camp will fold their
tents then.
