No matter how much you personally may desire to demonize those of us who demand that every one who knew and did nothing be brought to the fullest justice possible.
Paterno wasn't just the coach at the college, he is one of the board of directors for The Second Mile. How demonic can it be to hold someone that connected to Sandusky and the harem he was making himself accountable.
Because I’ve read the grand jury report and much of what people are saying here is at odds with it. Plus using things like ‘witness’ and ‘cover-up’ and trying to pin that on Paterno.
Paterno - as of today, right now - is guilty of negligent inaction. He set a high bar for his program and morally he has to answer to the bar he set. He did. He lost his job and in the court of public opinion he is being excoriated for his inability to live up to the bar.
If we are to extend that into something criminal on JoePa, frankly more fact not now known are going to come out to prove that, cuz the grand jury report doesn’t. Not so with Curley, Schultz, etc. The grand jury report specifically details their willful obstruction and repeated ignoring of the law.
There are people here who seem to want to engage in moral bloodlust and catharsis only and want to rant and rave till Armageddon on the evil JoePa. I WANT JUSTICE. Justice for everyone who was actually enabling Sandusky for years. As in prison time.
