Penn State trustees fired football coach Joe Paterno and university president Graham Spanier (SPAN-yer) amid the growing furor over how the school handled sex abuse allegations against an assistant coach.
The massive shakeup Wednesday night came hours after Paterno announced that he planned to retire at the end of his 46th season.
But the outcry following the arrest of former assistant coach Jerry Sandusky on molestation charges proved too much for the board to ignore.
One key question has been why Paterno and other top school officials didn't go to police in 2002 after being told a graduate assistant saw Sandusky assaulting a boy in a school shower...

As young 10, perhaps some younger. If you read a lot of these threads and the Grand Jury papers, you’ll see. They were young children.
It was a post I was replying to. Get it now?
For your info...Rene Portland was villified and basically fired (yeah she “resigned”) because of her stance on lesbian players and homosexuality in general. It was well known on campus, and with her players, that she did’t suck up to the honosexual agenda. She wasn’t cowed them them. She was eventually forced out regardless of her stellar career and all the winning seasons she provided Penn State Womens’ Basketball.
Oh you will. Paterno is the scapegoat. The media hates him. They are taking him out and succeeded. They succeeded in making the focus him, Paterno. But they didn’t count on all his former players and current students and alumni supporting him. They thought they could do it and make the focus him rather than the homosexual pedo/ pederast Sandusky. Rather than the victims who suffered because of Sandusky’s actions. Rather than the “charity” Second Mile. Rather than Board of Trustees. Rather than Curley and Schultz. Rather than Spanier, the most homo friendly President of any University. They want the focus to be on the cranky, strict coach who didn’t give a damn about the media and told them so.
If Paterno knew exactly what was taking place, I will apologize and I will be shocked. I don’t worship him, I think he should have retired a few years ago, as a football fan. As a Penn State Alum, I respect him and all he’s done for the University.
The focus, by the media, was placed on Paterno. Thet won’t place the focus where it belongs since it’s against the honosexual agenda. Just like the focus on Rene Portland doesn’t cover what really happened.
Oh, you’re a Penn State alum...I get it now.

you don’t get a damn thing and it’s obvious you didn’t read my post. This ish’t about YOU or ME. This is about what the homo agenda, the homo activists have succeeded in doing. The Media made this about Paterno. People on here made it about Paterno. It’s easier that way.
Far eesier than discussing what has led to this.
Forgive my typos. I’m a hooredous typist.
horrendous even.
I give up. I can’t type.
Why would you be looking at me? I’ve stated what I learned as the truth thus far.
I read the GJ report prior to when it was posted here.
Seems far too many posters aren’t looking at the facts, ino. And far too many aren’t up to date on the hono agenda.
He's a dirtbag who, one hopes, will be remembered for his cowardice and not his won/loss stats.
