I felt sorry for him. It was made worse when the moderator pushed him on it as if to exploit the situation.
I've spoken publicly many times and it's happened to me more times than I can remember (no pun intended). It was pretty bad timing for Perry, though especially when you consider he had been doing much better than the other debates.
