You're missing the point. I don't begrudge these players' hard work. You've already agreed in a couple of posts that this will be devastating to the Penn State recruitment program.
All I'm saying is had this scandal broke in '02 or '03 -- vs. '11 -- that it's likely a few those players who contributed to the '05 season would "hard-working" in showing their talents for a team other than the Lyin's.
I see what you mean. That’s a good point. It is ironic that had the Sandusky situation been addressed immediately and throughly, there would have been significant pain but not nearly what the coverup has led to today. Penn State might well be largely recovered by now.
As it is, this scandal will be a yoke around Penn State’s neck for decades to come.
I agree with earlier posters who surmise that Spanier and the gay takeover of the campus over the past 15 years, combined with the attendant political correctness and liberal immorality that goes with it, contributed mightily to the current scandal.
