FOX just reported that there could be other victims coming forward and other people, who knew of the abuse being held accountable.

Good. I sure hope so. ANYBODY who knew what this monster Sandusky was - - a predatory homosexual pedophile - - and failed to go after him with everything they had should end up in a cell next to his. That includes Paterno, but I am not yet willing to throw Paterno under the bus until I know more about what he knew and when he knew it.

All I know so far is that Paterno was aware of ONE incident that he claims was reported to him in an unclear manner. Paterno passed the report along to people who were supposed to investigate. Whether Paterno did or did not follow up or gain any further information about Sandusky is not known. Gee, ain't 20/20 hindsight grand? I know the prosecutor did clear Paterno of criminal culpability, but was there moral and ethical culpability? I'm not as clever and psychic as the mob here, so I guess I'll wait and see what shakes out.

It is easy for everybody to sit at their keyboards without a clue and speculate about what Paterno did or didn't know, and what Paterno SHOULD have done based on what he did or didn't know, but as for me, I'll wait until I know more. If Paterno truly knew (and understood) what Sandusky was then he deserves to be thrown under the bus and I'll gladly put that bus in gear and run him over, back and forth.

Until then, I will give the guy the benefit of the doubt. Sorry. I know that's not the mob mentality, but there you go. One thing I am sure of - - you don't publicly point a finger at somebody and holler, "gay pedophile rapist!" unless you are 100% positive about it. The issue is: There was a serious and troubling report. What did the people who were supposed to investigate do about it? From here, it looks like they let a monster roam the campus for nine more years.

It is my experience that people are usually in denial when it comes to accusations of sexual abuse against someone that they know. Child abuse is so far out of the norm for most people that they cannot even imagine someone that they know, being an abuser, unless they have seen it themselves.

The story that I heard is that someone witnessed an attack on a boy in the shower room and told Paterno, but did not make a report to the police. Paterno told school administrators what he was told, but did not go to the police. School administrators did nothing.

Follow the link, start at page 6 with Victim 2, scroll down to Victim 4, and then come back with that "mob mentality" crap. Paterno was one of the many who let the "monster roam the campus for nine more years".
