What’s your basis for that assumption? I do not think Cain could have handled the controversy any better than any one else could have today. He demonstrated composure in the face of a personal crisis. That’s the one of qualities we expect a President to have.
I grant he’s not slick. But you’ve been accustomed to professional politicians who know what you want to hear and whom decades of experience has taught them which button to press produces the best results.
I agree. I don’t think anybody here can suggest a better strategy to handle the situation than what Cain did.
The Dems are prepared to bring out the babe of the week, until election day, just to keep it going. Cain would undoubtedly deny anything to do with it, but his continual denials would simply become less and less vredible, regardless of what the truth was.
