Neither Schultz nor Curley (nor Paterno nor McQueary) ever reported the 2002 incident to the University Police or any law enforcement or child protective agency.

McQueary was the one who should have called the cops since he was the one who saw it. With Paterno, it became whisper down the lane and he reported it to the people to whom he was supposed to, and I imagine who thought would do the right thing.

BTW, if you look at the Grand Jury Report you'll notice that another incident of child sex abuse by Sandusky was observed by a janitor, who couldn't bring himself to make a report. Maybe if we try real hard we'll find a way to blame Paterno for that.

that part of the presentment describes Sandusky driving by the building slowly until 3:00 am.

Why were they so afraid of him?
Why was McQueary so afraid? the janitors?

I’m wondering - how did anyone come to know about this night the janitors describe if they didn’t report it?

I'll go further than that. McQueary was in his late 20s, something like 6'4" or 6"5, a former football player in his athletic prime. Sandusky was in his mid- to late-60s.

McQueary should have stopped the rape and physically restrained Sandusky while he called the police. If Sandusky happened to accidentally slip on the soap and hit his head against the tile several times, or miraculously slip upwards and impale himself by the shower head on his rectum while the police were on their way . . . well . . . those thiings happen.

McQueary was a coward and his behavior was probably the most reprehensible of anybody in the bunch.

JoePa knew what went on in his house. If one of JoePa's players broke curfew twenty miles away, JoePa knew about it. When the janitor observed Sandusky abusing the child (I'm not going back to the two GJ documents, and I don't recall if this is my Penn State source or the GJ, but this was when he had the kid against the wall and Sandusky was orally sodomizing him, right, in 2000?), he may not have told the police, but you can bet JoePa found out about it. Those were JoePa's showers.
