Now that has got to worry him, if you can't even get to 50% in California, then the game is up. If he can't push up from there then his whole re-election game falls by the wayside forcing him to re-election spend money in California is unheard off.

Sorry can't post more but as Rasmussen is mostly behind a paywall these days

Money spent in California Presidential races is better spent by flushing it down the toilet. Yes, support conservatives that can win in California but not one dime to win their electoral votes.

Obama can shoot Mickey and Minnie in the middle of Main Street and he will win Cal. We’re in the peoples republic and there’s no easy fix.

well i know that but would’nt it be fun to see Obama forced to compete in California. I mean, this could be the latino fallout, if Obama can’t convince the latino’s to vote for him there then his numbers there will drop a lot.

Interesting. As others have posted, I believe California will end up in Obama’s column come election day in 2012. But that his numbers are so dismal in what has been one of the safest Democratic states for 20+ years has to make him catch his breath. It gives me hope that the GOP just might pry away a couple of Democratic-leaning states next time. Pennsylvania and Michigan would be nice pickups, yes?

Sell California. It has left the union and the cost/problems outweigh the benefits. I can’t be entirely serious, since the problem people would just migrate back into another state if it was sold...

Sure he will win California. But if he is leading there by only four to six points by Election Day he’s toast. Bush won in 2004 and lost CA by ten points.

Thanx.

I am very pessimistic about GOP success in CAL based on the last 15 years of incompetence and inactivity. OB has what, a billion dollars. If we could get him to waste time or $$ I’m for it.

We need some initiatives o draw conservatives to the ballot box in November. I think the dream act repeal will hit in the primary.

I know we could win without Cal, but it would be nice to start a trend towards sanity. I think initiatives will bring more folks to the polls.

Pure fantasy. California is lost to the GOP, much less the conservative movement, for all time. Obama will win California by double-digit margins, regardless his opponent.

OB has what, a billion dollars.

Nope.

His goal was a billion but with a year until the election he has $40 million which is $ 960,000,000 short of a billion.

Even if he "kicks it up" a couple of notches, he's gonna have to scramble to get any where close to a billion.

I wouldn't mind seeing him have to spend some in kalifornicator.

Obama is a MICKEY MOUSE PRESIDENT

there’s no easy fix.

Yes, Sell San FrFREAKShow and Los Devil to Mexico...Just keep the eastern part of CA (the Seirra Nevada region), Palm Springs, Northern CA and San Deigo.)

As an incentive to Mexico..throw in Portland Ore and Seattle, Washington for free!! :-)

The State of California doesn’t need a bunch of stupid remarks from smart asses all about the rest of this Nation about Earthquakes, falling off into the sea, etc.

We need prayers, and lots of them. We are members of the same Union that also needs lots of prayers as well.

For those in Rio Linda that Union would be the Union of the United States of America.

Pennsylvania and Michigan would be nice pickups, yes?

The PA senate is considering changing the way we allocate electoral college votes from winner take all to a congress critter = 1 vote with the 2 senate votes going to the majority winner.

In PA we have 21 votes with 19 districts, 13-16 of which will go pubbie but with the vote fraud around Philly and Pburgh, the majority usually goes to the demonRATs.

If the new allocation goes through the pubbie will almost be guaranteed from 7 to 10 net electoral college votes.

I've been all over my senator and congress critter pushing this new way.

LOL. If we sold Cal to Mexico, OB would loan them the money to buy it. Also, he would allow them to vote in the elections.

40 million? That’s it. I wouldn’t expect he could raise a lot more as we get closer, except foreign money.

Pipe dream City. Hussein will win the People’s Communist Republik of Kalifornia.

If those dolts (sorry to the well-meaning conservatives in state, but you’re outnumbered) can’t even elect RINOs like Whitman, you know they won’t pull the lever for even the biggest RINO we nominate.

Progressive hatred for conservatives is not based in logic. Obama could give CA the finger, and tell the whole state to go to hell, and he would still win with a comfortable margin.
The progressive machine is in full force in every media outlet in CA. The lies and propoganda against anything conservative would make Goebbels blush.
It will take at least 2 generations to turn the state around, assuming we could start today.
Unless something significant happens this next election, we’ll just keep going down the rabbit hole.
