As Gingrich gains and Cain fades, Romney steps up his game in Iowa

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney is stepping up his campaign operation in Iowa, but he may face stiff competition in the form of resurgent former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.

Gingrich, who has seen his once-moribund campaign bounce back in the polls in recent weeks, now leads Romney and narrowly trails embattled former pizza mogul Herman Cain in the Hawkeye State. He received an enthusiastic response from the GOP faithful at a Republican Party dinner held over the weekend, and with Cain’s front-runner status in jeopardy due to sexual harassment allegations, Gingrich could become the consensus anti-Romney candidate conservative activists have been waiting for.

“If Cain’s problems do real damage, the next beneficiary is likely to be Gingrich,” GOP consultant Phil Musser told the Wall Street Journal on Monday.

In Newt”s case, he has a record of womanizing.

I don’t believe the charges gainst Cain.

Especially since GTloria All Red is in the middle of the latest one.

I want someone who understands business.

I cannot for the life of me see Romney answering the 3 AM call about another of our embassy buildings being bombed or Marine barracks torched.

So far-—SO FAR—Barry the Imposter hasn’t had to do so.

I am worried about Iran changing that within the next 14 months.

You see, that’s the problem. Gingrich is a master of telling his current audience just what they want to hear.

He studies this tactic carefully. Every interview he does, is based on what his audience is looking for. Remember how and when Gingrich was forced to step down as Speaker? The man has serious ethics issues and cannot be trusted. He has repeatedly betrayed Conservative principles all through his career both in government and after.

I my long life, I've observed that people to break their marriage vows usually do so with the next wife.

Bad marriages are not a reason to cheat on your marriage.

who ever replaces him in the polls will get the same treatment.

There is no evidence that Cain is fading except for the lying new media reporting it. His poll numbers are still up there and no one is going to replace him because the people don't believe this BS being sprayed about him.

He may not be perfect

He's a big-government RINO. His record is slightly to the right of Romney's but not enough to quibble over. I know he talks a good game -- he always has. But listen to him.

Every problem he addresses has a government solution. Don't fall for his shtick.

Cain is not fading, that is wishful thinking on the part of the author, his polling has remained stable or gone up since the allegations and his fundraising has skyrocketed. If that is what is called “fading” then he needs to fade some more......LOL!

Cain will come through all this much stronger and essentially inoculated for the general.

I’m always a little put off by little people who are arrogant enough to profess to question whether or not someone whom he has never met is a Christian. Maybe you should look further into your own soul before you attempt to judge another!!!

The problem with Cain is, he has absolutely not ability or experience in Foreign, Military or Security affairs, not to mention, emergencies.

There only one candidate who even comes close to qualifying for that category and that is Rick Perry. His military and tactical career is well known. He was an executive officer and has an honorable and stellar record of service.

There is no substitute for the office of Commander In Chief than one who has served like Perry has served.

Cain fades? Really? According to what poll? EVERY poll I’ve seen has Cain gaining (Newt gaining, but still way back and not making up ground on Cain). The loser here is the Mittster.

It’s not that hard. when someone is affirming Satan, they cannot be a Christian. So get used to it. Real Christians don’t hesitate to identify evil. Fake ones say “It’s all good,” which is a lie of Satan.

Luckily for the rest of us Jesus allows for us to be forgiven for our sins....evidently you are without sin and float above the rest of us so as to sit in judgement of us. Again look into your own soul first and when you are without flaw dane to judge others!!!

nope, my sinful humanity wants what it wants and gets impatient too. but I would never put my own selfish desires above the sanctity of marriage, and would never put my own selfish desires above the good of my children or family. I am used to shoving my own desires aside to take care of the needs of others, as it should be. Oh, one last thing, the word is “deign” not “dane” and there is nothing wrong with identifying evil as evil, in fact, if you don’t, Satan is prowling just hoping to get you or me in a snare. And yes, pride is a snare, and I fight with that one too.
