Howdy everyone!!

Call off the search party, I’ve escaped!! Had a pretty good session today. They did some aggressive debriding of the wound, which isn’t fun but they say it has to be done, and they started some tests to see if I will be a good candidate for synthetic skin grafts. Will have another test next week, then we can decide on the grafts. If they work, this thing can be healed up in about three or four more visits. But they’ve got to ensure that I have enough blood flow to the foot first. My pulse is very weak down there. Here’s hoping.

Was just thinking earlier today about Jim,’s wound healing and yep debriding is painful. Had a burn patient once and we gave morphine about 10 minutes bebor we started

My wife had to go through the wound debridement, wound vac, &tc. stuff a couple of years ago. It’s ugly and painful. I feel for you.
