Howdy everyone!!

Call off the search party, I’ve escaped!! Had a pretty good session today. They did some aggressive debriding of the wound, which isn’t fun but they say it has to be done, and they started some tests to see if I will be a good candidate for synthetic skin grafts. Will have another test next week, then we can decide on the grafts. If they work, this thing can be healed up in about three or four more visits. But they’ve got to ensure that I have enough blood flow to the foot first. My pulse is very weak down there. Here’s hoping.

Not again, still. Still working on this ten year old non-healing wound. Have made quite a bit of progress in the last nine months since the wound care specialists took over. The wound is now about half the size it was when we started the honey and nitro treatments and is only about 1/16th of an inch deep. It was over 5cm at its widest point when we started and now its about 2cm. And it had cratered nearly to the bone. But we’re about to git ‘er done!! Thank God for sending the honey docs!!

My first thought when I read your message was that Obama and his ilk seem to increase my blood flow whenever I hear their latest.

FR has a paradoxical effect on me; I hear outrageous stuff here first, and then hear calming wisdom (not always immediately!) afterward.

Hate to compare cutting-edge Conservatism to drugs but when I need a fix I have to come here!
