Breaking: Volunteers Join Grassroots Move To Unseat Liberal Don McEachin

Virginia businessman Floyd Mays has announced that he is running as a write-in candidate to unseat incumbent Don McEachin in Virginia’s Senate race on Tuesday, November 8.

Mays has a history of civic, business, and political involvement in the Richmond area and believes that the voters in Senate District 9 deserve a choice in candidates. McEachin is well known for liberal policies and unwillingness to work with conservative colleagues.

The recent state senate redistricting changed the political landscape.

Certain areas in the Richmond metro area that were formerly represented by conservative Sen. John Watkins will soon be represented by liberal Sen. Don McEachin. McEachin was running unopposed for reelection until Mays’ write-in candidacy.

How can you have a leaderless protest movement? You need community leaders with experience to bring people together. The best politicians can do this, and it sounds like Mr. Mays is headed in that direction.

I like it...aside from that fact that he’s a solid conservative..but a ONE DAY campaign, instead of a perpetual 24/7/365 4 years campaign would be nice...
