Naturally, the NLRB will order the plant shuttered.

Haley offered them long term tax exemptions and seized private properties for very little money... so that Toyota could build this plant. Every single Mississippian is paying for these jobs... and will for years... some paid with their personal wealth and property... and the upheaval of their lives.
I love the jobs... I hate the corporatism of Haley and his crony capitalists. I cannot wait to replace him with Phil Bryant... who has promised unlike Haley... to NOT veto eminent domain reform and to pass it into law.
Many of these companies get these sweet deals... and like Oreck in Long Beach, Mississippi... when the exemption time passes for tax free sailing... they packed up their plant and moved it to Tennessee... where they cut another 20 year tax free deal... etc etc etc.

Consider this: When was the last time you heard about GM building a new unionized plant that caused excitement in a community? Or any unionized industry for that matter.

Consider what BMW cost the upstate of SC. It cost them thousands of jobs at BMW, hundreds in businesses supplying BMW, millions of dollars in taxes paid by NON UNION workers, thousands in clothes bought locally for employees children to go to school..You can’t swing a dead cat and not hit a BMW on the roads of the Upstate driven by the employees of BMW....yea boy, that sure sucks for the state of SC. It sucks so much it encouraged Boeing to come to SC.

Just curious, what's the population of Blue Springs and how many folks allegedly had their lives upheaved and lost their personal wealth and property? As a side note, how was it they lost that stuff?

I am so happy for your State... we have a Nissan plant that Haley brought in under this same deal. It has created jobs... but the taxes it has generated are no where near the amount of money we paid for those jobs... not to date. That appeared in the Jackson newspaper.
TAKING SOMEONE'S PRIVATE PROPERTY TO ONLY TURN AROUND AND GIVE IT TO ANOTHER PERSON OR COMPANY FOR REASONS OF PROFIT... are not the ideals of nor the Rights given by our FOUNDERS. This is government stealing one persons property to give to another... and the politicians get rich by doing it.

What does it matter... is one person ok to steal from or is the threshold 5 or 10 or 12? What does it matter? It is one thing to take someone’s property for a public highway or a school... but when they take from one person to give to another because there is more money in it for the politicians to spend... it is wrong... and spending is what has gotten us to the edge... or worse... a friend of the politician wants your property... they can take it from you with little effort. In Mississippi, the State can take your home away from you and sell or give it easily. I know... I have lived under the threat of eminent domain for the past 6 years... 24 Acres of GOD’s country paid for in every way... my American Dream! They may eventually take it from me.
Haley vetoed a bill that would have stopped this crony capitalism/nepotism once and for all... Phil Bryant... the Republican running to replace Haley... has sworn an oath to pass eminent domain reform... and he will. I will vote for him tomorrow!

At this point, you're sounding like a reporter for the Politico........It's not the lack facts, it's the severity of accusation right?

You've made that statement several times dude, time to step forward with the facts.........As for that "WE" business, you got a mouse in your pocket?

It was in the Jackson paper... YOU find it... I do not owe you anything. I will state my opinion here and no one but Jim has the right to stop me... all Jim has to do is ask. If you do not like hearing my opinion... do us both a favor and ignore me from now on.

Figures, classic unsubstantiated allegations.........You should change your screen name to "anonymous source", that way, you can post your lies to your heart's content and you won't have to provide any facts to verify anything you say......

You'd like that wouldn't you? Post facts and you'll have no problem from me or anyone else around here.......

His claim is that the state government exercised its power of eminent domain to forcibly seize the property of one private owner for the benefit of a different, more favored, private owner. Do you seriously argue that's OK?
To: Mr. Lucky

No it didn't, reread his initial post #3.........
Then reread my subsequent postings to him requesting facts relevant to his allegations...which he could not provide.......
As for your last question, it does not apply until the facts are provided.......
If and when this dude provides the facts that I have requested, then we can discuss your last question..........
Since the dude could not answer my initial question about the population of Blue Springs, it's in the neighborhood of 144....and the surrounding area is nothing but rural woodlands....
To: Hot Tabasco
I supplied you with the source of the Nissan plant story... I owe you nothing. Piss off troll.

It appears that you're suggesting that the small population would forgive the taking of private property; that's the point of my question, not whether you and another Freeper are in some sort of feud.

No I'm not, it's the bogus accusation that subject poster has been unable to substantiate......and now you.
Provide the evidence that anyone in the Blue Springs city had their property confiscated under the "Emminent Domain" laws then we can have a discussion........Thats fair enough isn't it?
