Newt is brilliant but erratic. Cain brings maturity, focus and wisdom. I think the two together are more formidable then their individual parts. However I feel a whole lot better with Cain holding the reigns.
Cain has the leadership skills Newt lacks. Newt knows how to manage the DC political machine way better then Cain. Cain would keep Newt focused on Conservative principals, Newt would get things done.”
The ‘pundits’ say Herman Cain needs Foreign Policy experience. Hell, Foreign policy experts are dime/dozen in DC and time has shown that Cain is a quick study!
Maybe they use very large slingshots to launch them....I just love the third world, such a rich environment.
How and why do you think we and the country have gotten to in the position we are?
The answer for me is because we keep electing "establishment Republicans" to office on the basis that they're the lesser of two evils. That is exactly what Romney is and he's just barely a Republican, if that, in my book.
From Mitch McConnell to Boehner and right down the line they have rolled over to democrats on almost every issue even to the point they tout Islam as a "religion of peace." It's the good ole boy system! When it comes to enforcing well established laws and the US Constitution ..............they don't!
Since Sarah Palin won't run my preferences are Cain, Bachmann, and, with great reservations, Gingrich.
I will not support any more incrementalism on the basis of it's voting for the lesser of two evils. And........... I'm willing to bet there's a hell of a lot of others that feel exactly as I do!
Let'r Rip ........ I'll write in Sarah should Romney and the establishment Republicans steal the nomination!
Well said!
Actually....MY vote in the next election should go wherever I want.
;)
It’s tough.
I live in Delaware where we went through hell getting rid of that awful Mike Castle.
Sometimes you got to take a deep breath and suffer pain to an eventual end of good.
Lookit, I’ve said many times, on this very thread, that should Romney get the nomination I will vote for him.
Someone mentioned writing in Sarah Palin and I’m going to think about it.
To post a comment on this thread telling someone just how THEY should vote is a bit snippity. Reminiscent of the Blue Blood mentality I’d suggest.
But a valid argument could be made either way and for sure we all know the pitfalls and issues involved.
The Pakirs have bombers?
New Hampshire is already wearing the blue dress for Romney...after his victory; the media will blanket America with the message that this is a CLEAR mandate for the moderate candidate; that this is a CLEAR rejection of the extremist 'Tea Party'. It will be up to South Carolina and Florida to send this RINO flip-flopper packing.
Git 'er done, folks...
Well again OB, I suspect we all wrestle with this. Amazingly, while we wept an gnashed teeth over the McCain thing, THIS time it’s even worse.
Here in Delaware we got rid of Mike Castle. I get up every day thankful he’s gone, even with that communist Coons in his place. Coons ain’t having such an easy time and he’s no shoo-in next time. Sometimes these guys get in office and must show their colors before the world sees.
Romney bugs me to no end. I’d support the rest of them...even Newt, maybe that other Romney clone guy, dunno. I’ll probably support Romney as I lean by the wisp of a hair. Who he appoints VP will mean a lot.
But let a groundswell rise up to write in Palin....and it just might....I think I’ll jump on that train. Reason why?
Nope, I don’t think such a thing would insure the election of Obama. I do think it might well force the Blue Bloods to knock this crap off.
It wasn’t easy but we did it in Delaware. Threw them all out, the whole lot of them from state chair down to all county chairs.
Still, again, I fret about it.
Sorta like Barney Frank upon the discovery of a "chicken-house" in his basement.
Romney is running with an *R* behind his name.
He could easily run with a *D* behind his name, by merely going back to his pro-choice and 2nd Amendment positions he embraced in Massachusetts, not to mention his Romney-care.
My vote will always be mine.
I totally agree with both statements. They were wonderful in the debate and bring out the best in each other.
I concur!
We aren’t working our butts off to elect TEA PARTY PATRIOTS only to throw it away by electing another RINO or worse, to undue all our work and hard fought battles.
Our Republic is at stake. This is no time for the GOP-E!
RIGHT ON Old Badger!!!!
If you have that Romney video handy?
It’s needed here.
UGH. Those *independents* are already set to vote for Romney to hand him his NH victory?
Well, doncha just love it when his plan comes together so nicely?
Like we’re so surpised?
LOL.
I read that Cain has been going around to lots of people to get advice where he feels he needs it; he even met with Trump.
He also met with Kissinger for foreign policy advice. I despise Kissinger, but I give Cain credit for asking as long as he asks more than K and makes up his own mind.
The really good thing that came out of that meeting: Kissinger said that pretty much all of the candidates have sought him out, but
the rest of them all asked him what to SAY on the Sunday shows. Only Cain asked him what he should DO as President. Kissinger said that's the difference on being a LEADER--what to do vs. what to say.
All you need to know about Romney:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=7OQoBxZZPqU
This is compilation of about a dozen Romney debates and other clips where Romney takes the liberal position on abortion, gays, guns, healthcare, global warming, etc. Watch it all the way through to see the consistently principled man that he... ain’t.
Thanks very much, Jim!
I will keep it!
The thing with Romney is the more you do research him the more you find out that some of his former administration associates that he appointed who he relied on are in key positions in the Obama administration. So that in addition to his chameleon tendencies raises red flags on the "can you trust him" issue. My belief is that this reveals his character you can't trust him. Unfortunately, I'm concerned that the same trust issue may also apply to Gingrich.
As for Cain, the faux sexual harassment issue is nothing more than a racist attempt to put a stereotype sticker on him and portray him as the same ilk as rappers with their "F" this "the "Ho" crap. I believe that was the same but more subtle attempt they tried on Sarah Palin.
Unless I come across something substantial that goes directly to Cain's character which would prevent me from trusting him, he's got my vote. I'm very curious and pleased that he's kept his wife out of the limelight, so to speak. Smart move! I'll bet she's a very gracious and intelligent woman.
