God Bless and keep those safe in OK. If we lose a few libs, so be it.
About fracking causing earthquakes, I highly doubt it, but it just burns me to know end that the greenies are trying to turn this into some sort of cheapo version of a 1970’s era Irwin Allen disaster movie. B-P
My brother called last night to tell me about it. He’d never been in one before.
OK gets a lot of tornadoes and I’m sure that they would cause quite a bit of transmitted force to the earth when they touch down. I wonder how much and how deep this force could be? If the force delivered to the fault zone by a tornado is similar to the cracking force, perhaps we could use this as a model and determine if earthquake activity is triggered by a similar force.
Wait, it gets better! Thunderstorms with hail and possibly tornadoes on Monday and Tuesday. Well, at least we don’t get hurricanes. ;-)
The earthquake scared the stuffin out of me. I will never, ever go to San Francisco, even for a visit.
Magnitude 4.7 aftershock about 30 minutes ago.

That is pretty wild, because that is a lot of earthquakes in a short span of time.
I never thought of Oklahoma as a seismically active area until now.
