Yes, they can. The electors can vote for only one though. They can cast their other vote to another candidate or can decline the second. It’s in the details.

Are you saying the electors have to have confidence in where the POTUS or VP is from? They can’t be from the same state? Never heard of that.

How does an elector KNOW where a candidate is from?
