I am leaning towards cain but I am not going to agree about your premise ! If Newt wanted to mop the floor with cain he would have done it in split second !

Good point...but in this assertion is the interesting point...WHY didn’t Newt do it? He complimented Cain many, MANY times. I made me think that the ticket is already set. Cain did well...better than people gave him credit for and Newt is very good as always. This was a great night...but I am still in the Cain camp.

Yeah. Newt was spectacular.... his applause from the audience was probably 5X what Cain got. I like Cain, but he is VP material at best. He clearly was thrown off by some of the questions, and some answers were lacking any real depth. I’m guessing Herman walks out of there and thinks: “Whew... I did it.”, Whereas Newt didn’t even break a sweat.

I’d be very happy with a Newt/Cain ticket, but not vice-versa. The reality is Cain would not have the ability to challenge Obama to the 7 Lincoln-Douglas debates. Cain would just do the 3 lame media run events and probably lose, or break even at best. Newt, other the other hand, VOWS to do it. .....and if Obama doesn’t accept, he said that the White House will set his campaign schedule. Everywhere Obama goes, Newt will be there 4 hours later to rip apart his speech, and hound him into accepting the real debates. THAT will make for some serious entertainment.

Either way.... good debate tonight. Go NEWT!!!!
