It is so exhausting trying to talk even trivial facts amongst different people making different points.

SOMEONE posted a snippet from an AP story that said “all the candidates’ were invited to TONIGHT’S debate. That was the AP quote I was disputing. That’s why I explicitly mentioned being invited to TONIGHTS debate.

Back at the beginning of the thread, more than one Cain supporter attacked Perry for having turned down an invitation to THIS NIGHT’S DEBATE. You might have missed that if you came in late. That is what I am referring to.

The TTP has apparently invited all the candidates for similar events. They pretty much have to because otherwise they might run afoul of campaign laws. I doubt Perry will do a one-on-one with Romney or another candidate, although I think it would be fun. Perry has his own plan to get his name and ideas out, as do the other candidates.

So far as I can tell, no other candidate has pursued this idea. Maybe they will now that they see it can work. For someone like Santorum it might offer recognition he can’t afford to buy.

So, I guess I’m sorry that you thought I was questioning whether Perry was ever invited — I have posted elsewhere that he was, so I can assure you I am not in doubt on that point.

Like I said, it’s exhausting trying to straighten out every misconception, misstatement, and misunderstanding when there are so many freepers looking to pick fights instead of discussing the issues.

I don’t know how ANYBODY benefits from the childish namecalling around here, but a lot of people seem to really like bandwith taken up with it.
