You make a good point. What amazes me, though, is the number of people who treat Mr. Cain like some pizza delivery boy. Few have ever met Mr. Cain, much less worked with him (and don’t know anyone who has). I feel certain Mr. Cain will make an excellent showing.
By recklessly and relentlessly denigrating Cain, as they did Palin, they have made it very difficult for Cain NOT to exceed expectations. On the other hand, the expectations for Newt have been so over inflated it is going to be almost impossible for him to actually meet them.
Well he's had a new team players getting him ready who understand the climate of politics...so yes I'd say he's prepared...and Newt as well...it will be an interesting debate among "adults".
