Possibly the most informative, intelligent and civil debate I’ve heard. Kudo’s to Gingrich and Cain.

Spending the night at the Woodlands Resort after the Texas Patriots PAC "debate" between Newt Gingrich and Herman Cain. They proved that competition is good - wish we'd had some.

In the after debate questions with the bloggers, both men gave Perry talking points, as they did during the "debate." Cain didn't like my questioning why the "Empowerment/Opportunity Zones were any different from another bailout.

Besides that, in the parking lot in front of my room - taking up 5 -6 of the parking spaces - is the Newt Mobile, the Cain Train pick up and the trailer they haul the NewtMobile around in. How close are these two and are we supposed to believe they've got it all figured out?

The Cain Train pickup, with the Newt2012 billboard.

And the NewtMobile, with Cain President on the front and back.

I enjoyed it enough I watched it twice. They make a good team.

Cain has considerable learning to do but he has the edge on charisma.

We could use more debates like this. Even with the broad agreement, the format pulled out differences in personality, in style, in approaches.

The game show debates are ceaselessly frustrating as a potential voter. They are beneath the dignity of the office and make light of the seriousness of America's situation. Their uselessness is on the press but it doesn't help when candidates take the bait.

I hope these two get to that debate on the economy and taxes. I watched Rich Lowry's defense of 9-9-9 last week on C-SPAN and learned a few things.

You keep telling yourself that Hoc. Go for it. When the opposition is busy digging themselves into a hole, smart opponents get out of the way.

Well here we are - reviewing an intellectual and mature debate of consequence and your thread has, as could be predicted, deteriorated into a Norm & Charles debacle.

Wasting bandwidth on a playground scuffle. So immature - I’m going shopping.

This is the ONLY kind of debate forum run by REAL conservative organization and moderators for conservative candidates who want to and are able to talk about REAL issues.
