I've reposted the article, as Newt is rising in the polls. I didn't know that Gingrich's first divorce was misrepresented in the media.

Although Newt has many warts, at least this rumor about him divorcing his dying wife needs to be adequately debunked.

bflr Glad to see the daughter putting this rumor to rest. The media went all out to destroy Newt after 1994 election. I stll remember the baseless Time mag cover and article trying to protray Newt as the grinch who was going to steal Christmas and put poor people out it the street and take away their Alpo to starve them to death. They could not stand to see conservatism winning in America.

Newt is not my guy but it is important that the truth is out there. People here at FR are now repeating the stories that he cheated on his other wives. Now might be a good time to refrain from repeating 2nd or 3rd hand stories about him.

In light of the way the MSM asassinated Gingrich, Bush, Palin and now Cain’s character I think caution and skepticism is called for before excepting anything from the MSM. MSM is not here to inform us but to destroy us.

When I read Newt's daughter's account (above) ... it reminds me of the painful divorce that my family struggled through ten years ago ... a difficult time indeed ...

This is ridiculous. This is many years too late, so late I don’t know if I buy it. She should have cleared up this matter years ago. Maybe she and Newt recently reconciled and she agree to tell the truth or even lie about this to help Newt w running for president
