Ricky’s up to his old tricks——the poll shows Cain as the one beating Obama. Senor Rick came in second (which is hard to believe) but is touting himself the “winner.” Just as he declared himself the winner of the Iowa straw poll-—stomping all over the real winners who worked hard and spent mony there.

La Raza Rick did none of that——he manipulated the vote from Texas and got a pathetic 700 write-ins-—whereas Bachmann got 4000 votes. Nonetheless he declared himself the “winner,” flew into Iowa to get victory pics snapped under Iowa banners——as if he had actually won.

As Miss M posted-— I am sick and tired of hearing about the adventures of the good ol’ boys in Texas and Ricardo’s love affair with illegals.

When’s he gonna act like he knows a president’s first duty is to the USA and its citizenry?

Yup! He is not running for President of Texas. Something his most fervent admirers neither understand or care about.

And he was NOT a Southern gentleman when he announced his run on the day Bachmann won the Iowa straw poll. Tacky.

One on one match-ups against Obama DO NOT MATTER at this point. The VAST MAJORITY of the general public has barely heard of the Republican candidates, and have virtually no idea what they stand for. Ask them about Cain and they’ll say something like: “Isn’t he that black pizza guy?”. That’s it.

Right now, we need to ignore these hypothetical matchups. Back in 1979/80, they showed Bush-41 easily beating Carter, and Reagan getting killed by Carter (as Reagan was perceived as a nutcase, ready to start a nuclear war his first day in office). But the campaign progressed, the public got to know him, and when it was over, the public realized that he was a reasonable guy who would do a good job as president - and they gave him a landslide victory.

Had Bush-41 won that primary...who knows? Maybe Bush-41 would have been a nice guy with Carter (similar to McCain versus Obama)...and let Carter win simply because no one on our side cared to put in the effort needed to actually win.

To restate: trying to figure out who can beat Obama when the general public knows next to nothing about the options is simply a waste of time.
