Heads up all ye who want change from another Obama term in 2012. Theres only one man for that job: Rick Perry. Voters said so in Wisconsin.
Perry topped Obama 46% to 42% in a Rasmussen poll. Should Obama run against Mitt Romney, Obama would win 45% to 41%. Should Obama run against Herman Cain, Obama would win 47% to 41%. The poll makes a case for Perry if Americans really want to see Obama out.
The Rasmussen poll surveyed 500 Wisconsin voters by phone, not a sampling of voters nationwide. But the trendline is up for Perry and a bellwether as the GOP candidate who can take it away next November.
The rest of the GOP field is losing its glitter. Meanwhile, Perry continues his ascent toward the top; this, amid purported poor performances at debate. Whats going on with that?

Our California cousin actually said he is very disappointed in obama and doesn’t plan on voting for him again. I maintained the proper decorum, I didn’t cheer, yell woo hoo, or say I told you so. I was pretty surprised at myself. :D
Do you think the successful Galveston SS experiment will be brought up? Doubt it. Some idiot Texan thunk it up, so no go.
I think Cain will try to make it his idea LoL
When push comes to shove, just about any credible GOPer should beat Obama in 2012.
You Sir have hit on a primary thing.
Local and State government.
That is what Perry advocates and that is what Free Americans desire.
Like Reagan said ‘anything is possible if nobody cares who gets the credit for it’.
When Sam Houston left Tennessee he delivered a very famous quote, he said “YOU MAY ALL GO TO HELL AND I WILL GO TO TEXAS”. I have it on a bumper sticker on the back of my Tahoe. I think old Sam left Tennessee for Texas about the same time my ancestors did.
Obama would make us all pay for the failures of liberal states.
Perry believes that the states must own their own failures or winnings.
Herman Cain proposes empowerment zones. I balk at the idea.
I also disregard at the idea of leaning on a Super Committee.
Perry probably shouldn’t mention he gave Texas good Tort Reform. Other states might get jealous and accuse him of show-boating.
Yeah, the guy is a real pisser.
I tend to agree with you about Cain. I’m gradually shifting towards Gingrich, though I know I’m opening myself up to a flood of posts the contents of which I already know, having written a lot of the exact same words myself in the past.
But I don’t give a sh*t. I’m going to support who I feel like supporting and that will never be Mitt, never be Huntsman, and probably never be Paul (though I could even be talked into Paul, depending on circumstances).
If Perry gets the nomination, I will back him with all my heart and soul. But he’s not going to do that. Perry is dead in the water. Perry is the incarnation of a Great Communication Gap and in the 21st century you can forget that.
Look at how he got rolled on the “illegal tuition” issue, an issue that most people got 90% wrong and yet he was totally and completely unable to explain even 10% of it.
Forget Perry. This is a 21st century campaign. You can’t expect a Reagan, but you definitely can’t go with someone LESS articulate than GW Bush.
And that’s what Perry is. Less articulate that Bush. Much, much less.
(And Bush is NOT articulate, at all.)
Read my tagline
I understand why RATS shake in fear of Perry’s threats to slash every function of the fedgov he can, but why FReepers? Cain and Newt are arguing about tinkering and tweaking fed spending, Perry wants to move it to the states.
I don’t want any more fed policy wonks tinkering with my money. I want my state to do it and cut out the extra 25% cut the fed tacks on for attempting to perform the task.
I agree. I want the Fed out of mylife.
Yes thank God, we escaped! It could not have worked out better! LOL! If you only knew!
Cain gonna ask for the Galveston SS model?
I think he already tried to hijack that idea with his Chilean model.
I don’t have a problem with the Chilean model, it’s just that GWB and Rick Perry suggested it first.
Dumbass Texans, they probably stole it from the Maori.
