It is good to get his ideas out there, regardless, although he doesn’t seem presidential to me. His personality isn’t strong enough to be the Reaganesque type. Today, there has to be a charisma. Lincoln probably would have trouble winning in today’s climate. It isn’t a criticism of Santorum, it is a criticism of our educational system and our immoral media.

He is a very good Catholic and I appreciate that. He doesn’t have the strength and presence on screen that a leader needs to have....but he would be great in the Senate or House.

I didn’t like that either, and sent him an email about it.

But when I found out it was because he thought that Specter would have a better chance of winning, and he wanted the Republicans to have the majority, and they would have control of the judicial committee, I understood his reasoning.

When the Dems have control of the judicial committee, they wouldn’t allow many of Bush’s conservative judicial picks to go to the floor for an up, or down, vote.

Pat Toomney later endorsed Santorum, because he knows Santorum is a good man.

I understood his reasoning, too.

I just disagreed with that reasoning to the point of considering it a betrayal.

He's big government neocon social conservative. He's like W without the charm.

Further, he's divisive and unlikeable. Santorum should go home to his seven children. They need a father.

“If he’s right on the issues why do you care what he looks like?”

I don’t care what he looks like; I didn’t say or imply that I care what he looks like. My issue is his manic, desperate blathering.

“He reminds me of that kid in the third grade who no one would play with.”

Exactly. The tattle-tale teacher’s pet. Maybe like Sid in “Tom Sawyer”. Or Eddie Haskell.

For those who aren’t able to look at a word and glean the true meaning by considering the context, I guess I should’ve used the word “event” instead of “appearance”. It was not a reference to HIS personal appearance. My issue would be the same whether I was looking at his face or hearing him on the radio. Sheesh.
